Welcome to NYC School of Data — a community conference that demystifies the policies and practices around civic data, technology, and service design. This year’s conference kicks off NYC’s annual Open Data Week & features OVER 30 sessions organized by NYC’s civic technology, data, and design community! Our conversations & workshops will feed your mind and empower you to improve your neighborhood. This demonstration will provide participants with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the tech and tools that underpin several community networks operating here in New York City, including The Things Network, Resilient Communities, and NYC Mesh. Participants are invited to visit the demonstration at any time to connect with community network operators and activists and to learn how to become involved in these exciting grassroots efforts.
